Charming Rehearsal Dinner spot for 30-50 guests The Mayan Cafe is a full service restaurant in Louisville, KY with a charming rehearsal dinner and intimate wedding reception venue tucked behind our building. We built this covered patio in 2023 to be an outdoor extension of our restaurant. The space features a large Spanish-style bar along with tables and chairs that seat up 40 guests. We can accommodate up to 50 guests standing in a cocktail style reception. The space features powerful gas heaters for those 50 degree days and 3 large fans to help with the hot Louisville summers. Our food is upscale Latin cuisine, featuring authentic Mayan recipes, ingredients and cooking techniques that our chef, Bruce Ucán, a Mayan Indian from Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, grew up eating. We fuse this with farm to table sourcing, using locally sourced meats, produce and cheeses in abundance. Our catering services grew out of our experience running an upscale restaurant, so the presentation and flavor of our food is high quality, unique and memorable. We have a large dedicated catering team who are ready and waiting to help you plan your rehearsal dinner. Since we are a full service restaurant, we are a one-stop shop for events. We have all the dishes in house (no extra rental charge for these) along with tables and chairs. There is no facility or room fee beyond the $2500 minimum total spend necessary to reserve the whole space for the night.
